Tesla Cuts Cybertruck Prices to Broaden Market Appeal, Shares Rise
Tesla has strategically reduced prices for its Cybertruck lineup, with the dual-motor variant now starting at $59,990—the most affordable entry point yet for its electric pickup. The high-end Cyberbeast model saw a $15,000 price cut to $99,990, reflecting a deliberate shift toward mass-market accessibility.
The move coincides with the removal of the Luxe Package, which previously bundled premium features like supervised full self-driving capabilities. Unbundling these options allows Tesla to maintain lower upfront costs while potentially boosting future software and service revenue.
Investors responded positively, sending Tesla shares up 1.8% as the company positions itself for stronger demand ahead of its 2026 mass-market vehicle launch. The pricing strategy marks a clear pivot from early-adopter exclusivity toward broader consumer adoption.
